More than 5,000 species of plants from all continents reveal their secrets and are staged in landscaping, set designs and unusual animations: 4D projections, walks in the tree tops... Angers, the capital of Anjou, is a city of human scale, a “must” to be discovered because of its exceptional heritage! Its castle made of black shale stones is worth visiting, you can't miss when you arrive because its fortress is so imposing. You'll be surprised by its gardens. Angers Castle is home to the tapestry of the apocalypse: a 103-metre-long tapestry set, the longest medieval tapestry in the world.
You can wander through the city, its pedestrian streets, discover the Saint Matin Cathedral, the House of Adam one of the oldest half-timbered houses, its museums... This town is worth a visit!
A fortress surrounded by water, the Plessis Bourré château is impressive and majestic: a true fairytale castle.

The Ile Briand departmental park is a jewel of greenery wedged between the Mayenne and Oudon rivers, which houses the former national stud farm of Lion d Angers and the race course. It is a paradise for horse riding and horse racing enthusiasts. The Mondial du Lion and the Anjou Loire Challenge are the headliners of the important events taking place there, but not only! Walkers will not shy away from the pleasure of strolling in this Sensitive Natural Area and discovering a multitude of protected animal and plant species. The “Francette” bicycle route also crosses the park along the Mayenne.
It's a bit like a park from a bygone era, with its collections of all kinds of old objects, a reconstructed village from 1900 with its famous grocery shop, its school and the living rooms of a house from that era.
A ride in the little train or along the hiking trails will allow you to observe the animals in this ecopark.
